Uncle passed away a couple of weeks ago. Had a project that can best be described as a basket case. Most of a 56 Chevy pickup. Frame, body - had a 1 piece fiberglass front end.

Any value in that? Don't have any pics at the moment but could get them.

Pretty much like most other Chevy trucks. Short beds are worth a bit more then long beds, big back window models bring a bit more then standard back windows. The demand is not quite as high as 67-72s or squares but plenty of guys like me still want them. I might be a buyer if you are looking to sell in the future. Look for rust in the door hinge areas, in the roof by the visors and the headlight buckets.
Definitely need some pics please.

Sorry for your loss.

Hate to be that guy but Are you looking to sell it? Might know someone.

Aunt asked me to put some feelers out. I've not seen it in quite a few years, and it was a literal basket case when I did... I'll try to get some photos this week.

So I got back there in the jungle today. It's def a basket case. Frame is there, all body panels, didn't see any interior or glass. No powertrain.PXL_20240402_002949017.jpgPXL_20240402_003021018.jpgPXL_20240402_003102016.MP.jpgPXL_20240402_003128774.MP.jpgPXL_20240402_003205732.jpgPXL_20240402_003213861.jpgPXL_20240402_003223740.jpgPXL_20240402_003232592.jpgPXL_20240402_003242922.jpgPXL_20240402_003325624.MP.jpgPXL_20240402_003359343.MP.jpgPXL_20240402_003602388.MP.jpgPXL_20240402_003650617.MP.jpgPXL_20240402_003656115.MP.jpgPXL_20240402_003711922.jpgPXL_20240402_003724545.jpgPXL_20240402_003747244.MP.jpgPXL_20240402_003754744.MP.jpgPXL_20240402_003808156.MP.jpgPXL_20240402_003818134.jpg

Looks like it's got the small/normal back window. Cab corners are fairly intact. Be some work to get it out of the yard. Looks like he was working on some coilover rear on it. Not sure I'd use it that way but the frame brackets for the leaves are there and intact.

Yes, it's only 2-3 miles from me. The title is in their daughters name, the paper itself may or may not be missing so they would have to go get it reprinted or one of the 3rd party people to take care of.

The uncle and aunt were separated at the time of his passing and a lot of things were shuffled around so there is disarray.

That's all actually in pretty good shape. 90% is all surface rust. Even the frame looks to be decent.

Got lowballed at $200.. Turned down. Pretty sure it'll set if nothing better than that comes along.

Not a lot of these for sale as a basket case, to hard to figure a ballpark but just found a hood on c-list for 225.. If I didn't have other things I needed to get done, I'd pull everything out and lay it out for better pics and post it up on there myself.

Anything sitting on the ground is suspect. You'll have to pick stuff up for a fair assessment.

I would not want to pay more than 2-300 for a pile of parts. It is a ton of work to get it moved comparedto a complete vehicle. It is also likely that parts are missing and it will cost more than the finished truck is worth to reassemble again. This is not a project truck in this state, it is a parts donor at best right now.

That said, I would part it out if I cared about top dollar or I would ask for $500 if I wanted to sell it as a complete package and only bother with offers after someone shows up in person. My experience with people making offers before looking at things means they are too lazy to follow through with the deal.
