Described as "CHEVY REAR 3 INCH LIFT LEAF SPRINGS - FROM 1970 -1991"

Looks like 8 leaves plus overload. Based on the number of leaves, I'm guessing 56" springs, because I've never seen 52" springs with so many leaves - not even lift springs. Going to give him a call in the morning to get some measurements.

Any idea if these will have any flex to them, especially with a couple leaves removed from the pack? More flex than a short add-a-leaf on stock 52" springs?

PO installed a **** 8" lift and I'm trying to figure out how to fix it. I thought it was a 6" lift, so I bought an ORD shackle flip + 1" zero rate to give me ~5" (close enough for me), but during teardown a discovered an add-a-leaf. Guess it's actually an 8" lift :waytogo:

I've been reading for days on the best way to get another 2-3" of lift and it seems like lift springs are the way to go. Might as well go for 56" while I'm at it, for the smoothest ride and best flex. Don't want to tear it down again and reweld spring perches and all that. I believe 56" lift springs should work.. might need longer shackles though. Thoughts? :dunno:

had a closer look at the photos and noticed a slight variation between the two leaf packs (see upper leaves).. not sure if that means anything.. don't have a ton of experience with leaf springs. possibly weird angle for photos.

home made packs . like said upper leafs don't line up correct. its a few extra leafs stacked in there. the ends are all lining up not staggered like thay should be.

will ride stiff and not flex much. also extra leafs is were he prob gets the lift.

damn. well i'd definitely remove a few leafs if i snagged these.. i'd imagine they're pretty stiff. top 2 leafs (under main leaf) might be good candidates for removal. could be symmetrical and even at that point.

think they're worth using? better than 52s w/ shorty add-a-leaf? these springs are seriously rock solid.
