I hope its a starter support bracket for my SBC.:dunno: never seen one before, in all the years of turning wrenches.

It's a support bracket for a lawn chair.:haha:

No clue.

Found it in a pile of Chev truck parts i had lying around.
It just happens to fit the back two bolts on a SBC starter motor.
I'd have to weld an extension for it to reach the bolt hole on the block, but, I could do that.

I doubt thats a starter bracket--looks more like a cruise control vacuum diaphram mounting bracket to me,that would bolt to the intake,or maybe an A/C or altenator bracket that bolts to the exhaust manifold bolts---see if it matches up with the bolt spacing on an intake or exhaust manifold...

I can't find a newer picture after I finished everything, but here you go. I made the lower support that goes to the tub, and bent up the other tab to bolt them together, but it's that piece.

you nailed it Z! I was staring at it and thinking "I know I've just seen that recently". realized what it was, then scrolled down and saw you beat me to the punch. lol

a pic from a different angle with the piece that holds the lines in place.

I usually don't even open threads like these because it seems like there are some many guys on here that know odd little brackets/bolts/switches etc that I'm always late to the party. Glad I finally got one. :woot::haha:

I think I'll. Still use it as a starter bracket since
it fits. Thanks guys!
Do you want a starter brace?
I have a couple here, no need for mods so they fit.:thumb:
Just buy me lunch or dinner when you meet me to get it.:pimp:

Nice going guys! I couldn't place it. Have one on the crew cab to but i've never taken it off.

After much consideration, and consultation of my vast store of knowledge, I have come to the conclusion that........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................Its Blue..........

I'll be turning it into a Starter brace bracket, I don't have one, and should probably have one.
