I got two of these from a surplus store, a year or so ago, only labeled fuel pump. they were cheap so i got them.

Since my in tank pump just died, the perked my interest.

I hooked it up to a battery with a hose on the inlet going to a jar of gas,

I think they are HIGH psi because it shot fuel every ware and spun the hose.

Wondering if they are submersible? What got me is that they are made by hella (the light company)

sorry about the pics, had to use my web cam as my digi cam is no more.
any one got any ideas?

Why not dead head it into a fuel pressure gauge? I think they max out like 35% above the pressure they provide rated flow at. It should at least let you know if it is for a low pressure or high pressure system. You could also get some jugs and measure the low-pressure flow rate. Use a stopwatch to time 1 gallon or something. Just be careful making and breaking electrical connections around the gas.

Another quick thought is to go to a car parts store that you are chummy with and see if they will let you go through all of their boxes and look for a match.
