I have a 400sbc that has a new 670 Truck Avenger carb and seem to have a small problem. First, I have no tach and my temp gauge is not working correctly. I have no problem driving around town it is just when I'm Idleing in traffic and the engine gets quite warm or on long trips the idle at stoplights etc seems to be very low approx at 400 500 rpm where i think it might stall unless I feather the gas a bit. When I take off from the stop it runs fine. If I adjust the idle screw it works great at all times except it will boost the idle to approx 1500 rpm's. Any ideas? Do I just have to monkey with it more to find a happy medium or what?
