idle revs

I am having trouble with my engine reving at idle and hard start. I just finished replacing fuel pump, sending unit, and relay. After that a wire fried between the computer and fuse box and now idle problems when will it stop? anyway if anyone could help I'd appreciate it. Thanks

Which wire melted, what year vehicle are you working on?

re idle problem

It is an 87, and the wire was from the ecm to the fuse box I don't know exactly wich wire it was.
