Our club is interested in putting together a certified trailboss and tail gunner system. Basically, members who are willing to go to extra training in Tread Lightly and responsible wheeling practices and who will be responsible to make sure everyone wheels in such a manner on our runs.

Do any of your clubs have a system like this in use? We are trying to find out what other clubs use for certification criteria. If you know of club that does something like this please let me know as well.

Thanks for your help.

Honestly I have never heard of this certification you are talking about... But our club handles idiots the same way we have for years.

If someone leave trash on the trail, we pick it up and give it to them. If they don't get the point we pick up all the trash on the trail and fill their truck with it, usually a few days later. If they still don't get the point we take them out on a trail, get them stuck, leave them there and don't look back.

Ok really though, we treat our members like adults and sometimes they have to be reminded of that. Usually it doesn't take much and everything runs smooth. We designate a trail leader when we go on a run, but the buddy system is the deciding factor where we wheel.

Hope this helps.
