ignition module help please

yep gone through my upteenth ignition module, module company says alternator back feed, but also looking for anybody with the same problem.Thank god for lifetime warrantys /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif87 k5 tbi 350
 
If search was working, I'd say use it, because I'm SURE I saw that someone had the exact same issue you are having. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Check with a local electronics store. A 5 or 10 amp diode (which is what the one in the pic looks like to me) should only cost $1 or so. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
 
yeah i called painless and they said a 6 amp 10 watt diode in the ignition hot lead should do the trick. Thnks guys
