Ignition pick-up coil question

How do I replace the ignition pick up coil on a 1990 HEI distribitor? I have the new coil but can't figuer out how to get the old one off.

you have to drill out the rivets. I ended up replacing my whole dist. couse the magnitos were non magnitized .

You need to remove the distributor from the engine, drive out the gear pin, remove the gear and pull the rotor shaft out the top, then the pick-up coil ust unscrews, or in some cases it's held in with riviet, as the previous person said, just drill them out.
