So when i got home last night a turned the key and the engine wouldnt shut off...... i had a similar problem a few years back so a friend replace my ignition switch and wallah problem solved till now.

How the heck do i change the switch, i saw on the manual to lower the column and take it out removing 2 screws, is it that simple???

Ignition switch is not too difficult to reach. It sits on top of the column behind the dash. Let me see if I have a diagram....

Your best bet will be to remove the access panels underneath the column, and then unbolt the column from the support, letting it drop down where it is easier to access the screws holding the ignition switch (#55 in diagram) and the wiring connected as well. I'm not certain on how to take the actuating rod loose from the switch, but i'd assume it to be fairly easy. Hope this helps.
