Does anyone know how to change this part?

it's the one bolted to the column with a metal rod running under it... usually it's like 3/8 headed selftappers holding it on to the column... it's easiest to just undo the 2 main nuts that hold the column up and lower it as the switch is bolted to the top... the rod is usually L shape and it fits into the sliding hole...... you can manually operate the switch once off and still wired with a small phillipshead....

here's mine..

ok... so it's on the TOP of the colume.. .not on the sides. I noticed a rod going through the thing in the first pic I posted.

i will drop it and look on the top

I found it... dropped the colume a little bit... still dont see how I can remove the part ... not any room to work. is there a secret to this ?
