I have come to the conclusion that i need to make myself up a custom st of spark plug wires to work well and be tidy with the headers on my 350. Can anyone recommend me a good set of the crimpers required to do the job? Searched summit and either im retarded or they are in a different category.

MSD makes some good stuff. You might want to check out their crimper pliers. MSD part # 35051

I know Nappa sells them in there Beldon line .Also they can order wires by length if you know the size you need .

DON'T buy the yellow handled stamped looking Accel jobs from Oreilly's etc. They are a door stop now. The MSD's are undoubtedly nice, but spendy. MSD makes a little phenolic/ metal crimper that you use in a vice. Its about an 1 1/2"?? thick and works nicely. I didnt have a vice so some 460 channel locks worked great.

x2 on the MSD stuff. I've got a pair and love them. If you ever plan to build more than one set of wires, you will money/time ahead by getting a quallity pair or crimpers.

The MSD crimper also has changeable jaws and there are also different jaws available for doing other things as well.

As nice as crimpers would be, I did it with a pair of pliers.

Now I'll know where to go next time I do wires. :)

Yep, did those too with pliers. The depinning tool made life easy, but the crimping wasn't that hard. Besides, I soldered them afterwards for good measure.

The MSDs didn't work for me on Taylor 409s. But a smaller wire should work just fine.
