Ignition wiring

So I bought my blazer about a month ago and the guy I got it from said the ignition switch was bad, so he ran the starter to a toggle switch and "got rid of" the factory wire going to the starter. Could someone point me in the right direction as to which one of these wire should be run to the solenoid?

purple on 70's 2nd gen is number 2? cavity in the firewall bulk head connector

Purple or yellow wire most likely.
year of the truck?

1984. I have 2 orange, 2 red, 1 yellow, 1 pink and 2 brown with white stripe
