Thought I'd throw a pic up of Joe's reig from Billings, MT. He took his 82 k30 and put an IH traveller body on it. It is running a 454, SM465, ORD 203/205 doubler, D60 posi, 14FF detroit, 4.56s, 52/56s.

Doh, wrong button. Here is pic:

That's cool. The body on the IH looks like it's in good condition.

my dad has a 73 IH Travel All (suburban like) with 3 gas tanks, he's putting an 89 TPI engine and trans so he can hit the trails with me

yeah, a scout II will be one of my next toys...

why would you go from a STRONG boxed frame with a couple of easily fixed safety features to a c chanel lader frame than is VERY twisty? this part i dont understand.....

I'd guess the axles and such were easy to deal with under the K30 frame. I would have stuck with the stock frame but eh whatever.

Mainly for the ease factor of not having to build motor. tranny/ case mounts, Springs hangers to match axles, steering mount with his pre-existing crossover and such. It was alot easier to build some body mounts than all that. With all the body armor and such the frame is alot more rigid plus it is the k30 1 ton frame to already beefier too.

That trailer looks familiar :D

That Scout of his is simply awesome. I should be able to post some pics next weekend after we go in a snow-pounding run.
