i live in CA (one of the worst states for firearms) and i want to get my brother a 40 round clip for his XD .40. i know i cant order it directly but can i send it to someone elses adress in a allowed shipping state then have them ship it to me. we live on a ranch so its not like he's using it in a range. how big of a deal is it to do that? if its a huge no no please tell me because i really have no idea.

Sell the ranch at the huge Cali prices , come to AZ buy some land cheaper ( theres still plenty with no damn people around ) and carry what ya want and invest the change :thumb:

theres a major flaw with your sugestion, its my dads ranch. hahaha

But realize that what you're doing is illegal. I have a lot of hi-cap magazines, but I got them all before the ban. You cannot posess a banned magazine unless you owned it before the ban went into effect. I don't think that most magazines have a date of manufacture on them. How well do you know the person you're sending it to, and how will they be getting it to you? You do the math. I don't know what the penalties would be, but you need to decide if it's worth the risk.
