I\'m ALMOST famous......!!!!

So I'm at the mechanic's garage today checking on my Q-Jet installation and fuel pump issues (see the long story in my other thread!)....and the mechanics at the shop all come out and tell me:

"Hey, you're like a celebrity....these guys recognized your truck from 'some website' and were asking about it"

WOW! That felt pretty cool.....CK5 is bigger than I thought! I drive a "primer grey" K5, and I'm still recognized, even when parked in a fairly obscure shop in Fremont?

So WHO here wants to confess.....????

The suspense is killing me!!!!

Hey Greg what is this website you're talking about? I'll have to check it out.

Yeah, when I met people at blazerfest, or from CK5, they're always like "hey, don't you have the blazer with those pictures of the burnouts!?" I always laugh and get a kick outta that.

Some dude stopped on my dad's busy street tonight to look at my blazer. I went out there and he held up traffic talking to me about his '72 K/5.
I told him to pull over and I talked to him for a couple of minutes. I told him to check out Colorado K5 and he wouldn't be sorry. Pretty cool when guys stop and ask you questions all about your blazer.

I have had people I don't know in Blazers blinking lights and hanging out windows waving at me a couple times. I bet Depdog gets it a lot also. It's pretty funny at times. I just wave back LOL.

Now I'm wondering what Mechanic Shop it is in Fremont you took it to? HHHMMMMMMMM And I thought that I was famous when I PMd barbastard who is from San Ramone, Cuz He say me driving last week and He spotted me in a parking lot. LOL Its such a good fealing to know that Peeps are a looken....at CK5

On the way to BlazerFest last year, I was driving on 101S and this car pulls up along side me so that the driver could snap a picture (while they're driving) of my rig!

Trust me....they definitely weren't try to get MY picture......just the K5!!!

Just imagine someday, when it's actually got all of it's parts bolted back on, and has some PAINT on it.....

Its cool how any guy/gal with a Sub or K5 will wave EVERYTIME when they see me driving around! I have also had my truck "recognized" at any of the local oil change places... Seems like everytime I go into one of those places, someone is putting a bid on my truck!

Even the guy who hung my exhaust told me to give him a call if I ever wanted to sell the truck!

Nice to know that folks out there still think our 11-25+ year old trucks are cool!

And EVERY kids loves 'em to death too...

Yeah I almost forgot.....kids love 'em. When you're only 3 feet tall, even a mildly lifted truck is a "Monster Truck"!!!! Plus, how many other vehicles have they ever seen with a "jungle gym" (roll cage) built right in?

When my friends come over to visit, all the kids want to do is go climb in the truck and swing on all those bars!!!
