well guys, i never forgot my roots, and i know where i came from, haha. anyways, im back, i haven't been on the site in almost 2 years, and i have missed my one ton that i built and wheeled the hell out of. missed the site too.

anyways, i have since bought a house, and finally a tow rig.

last weeked i picked up this 1990 jimmy with a TBI350/700R4,NP241combo(has 213k miles on it)...it had a six inch lift on it when i bought it. two days later i went a picked up a set of cucv takeouts with 4.56's and a detroit in the rear. and, litterally two minutes ago i ordered 12in superlift front springs. i've already got the 14bolt under the truck and will be swapping the front as soon as the srpings get here.

i paid 900 for the truck, 900 for the axles, and about 350 for the springs.

THIS WILL BE A SEMI-BUDGET BUILD.

my plan is a shackle flip and blocks out back, and zero rates in the front with the springs.

im gonna run 44's and wheel the shiza out of this baby. my duramax doesn't even flinch when pullin this baby. im so excited to get this thing rollin.......

anyways, here are some pics of the truck and my tow rig....

no,haha...hell no...the guy put it on there trying to bolt it to his old ass mud truck. he ran out of money and hand to sell the damn axles. i just haven't touched the front yet...haha...i was wonderin how long until somebody saw that awesome piece of art.

Sweet deal on those axles.
Wish I found a deal like that on some round here...

I remember seeing your old truck around town on 70

Good to have ya' back! That's a beautiful duramax (minus the front push bar :)) Keep the pics coming!

very nice duramax and a pretty clean K5 as well. is the inside of the K5 as nice as the outside? as for the rear suspension why don't you run zero rates, an add a leaf, and longer shackles in the rear along with the 6" springs and the shackle flip? that way you don't have to use blocks and should net you around 12" of lift

Did you get those off of Chucks Trucks? I was looking at a set in your area.

You should head up to the M&G in Mobile Saturday. ;)
