So, my truck has a NP203... There isn't a shift pattern on the shifter that I can actually read. I think foreward is low range, but I honestly haven't tried to shift it.

I also have selectable hubs.

So I'd like to assume my tcase has a part time conversion. Or?

My 74 had a 203. If memory serves, all the way forward is low lock (50/50 power split front and rear), one notch down is Low (Trans diff kicks in and splits power as needed), middle is neutral, all the way down is High lock, one up is high.

If you have selectable hubs and can move the truck in High or low (Not lock either way) with the hubs unlocked, it does have a conversion kit in it. Hope this helps.

Okay, that does help. Is there anything bizzare pertaining to these tcases I should know? If I run it in hi-lock with the hubs unlocked (if it doesn't have the part-time kit) will I hurt it? I honestly have no idea if it has the kit or not, the guy I bought it off of was kinda sketch and didn't say.

Running in high-loc with hubs unlocked shouldn't hurt the T-case. If you don't have the part-time kit, I don't think the truck will move with the front hubs unlocked if the T-case is not in hi/low-loc.

As stated above the shift pattern looks like this:

Nope. won't hurt it. Same as running any other truck in 4wd with the hubs unlocked. The running gear will turn and hurt fuel mileage, but won't break anything.

Best way to see if you have a part time kit is to unlock the hubs, put it in high and mash the gas. If it moves, part time kit. If not, no part time kit. I'd recommend one. Get the shaft style kit though. The basket kind is weak as hell.
