...when I sell the K5. The 700r4 and the 2.73 gears makes the truck idle when cruising on the highway. I have been commuting 25 miles each way to work for the past 4 days (200 miles so far) and the truck has barely used a 1/4 tank of diesel (31 gallon tank). I figure that the truck is getting around 25mpg on the highway. I will see how long this tank lasts and report my true findings.

it doesnt use enough fuel, put 3.42's under it or even 3.73's :D

2.73 are horrible no matter what,
so i mean..

got pics ?

why get rid of it ?

is it rusted out junk or something ?

good luck

'Betty' isn't rusted junk...not even close to it.

I decided to keep the truck, going to lower it stock height; damn driveshaft vibration is killing me!!! I will just steal my cousins 06 ctd when I need a tow vehicle:D and I will put the truck money towards a house now.:pimp:

I did somewhat the same thing a few years ago and have no regrets what-so-ever !
Owning your own home has no equal feeling, and it ain't a bad investment either......

I find that I enjoy my project Blazer even more now that I do not feel guilty spending money on it that I know should go for something else ( like my house ).

So far 350 miles and just a little above half a tank left, when it hits E it is 26 gallons to fill.

Let's see...26/2=13 350/13=26.9mpg 95% highway.:eek1:

In a few days I will have the final and actual number.

Friggin econo-box huh...

My prediction is 25.3 mpg when you finally figure it out.
