I\'m looking for \"the plans\" for building a Linear........

Anyone have a the plans to build a Linear? I would rather make my own then pay someone else to make one.

Try TEXASSTAR.COM they had the schematics for a 350 on there site.

This is a case where doing it yourself is *NOT* the best choice. Especially if you want quality. Do you have testing equipment? Spectrum analyzer and so forth? If not then I'd not mess with it. I hate dirty radios and amps that bleed. Not picking out proper components, matching them properly, biasing it properly, etc will all produce IMD (bleedover). If you're going to use an amp, do it right and get a decent quality pre-made AB biased unit... Don't waste time with C unless you do FM... /forums/images/icons/crazy.gif

I agree, Buy one instead of trying to build one. You can usely find good used ones for a fair price. That way you can get more watts for the buck. I think a modulator is a good buy over a linar. Put the swing in it instead of just pumping power. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif
