I'm picking up a 14 bolt tomorrow, how heavy are these? Put in back of suburban?

Any suggestions on how to get a 14 bolt into the back of a suburban to haul home? Should I just give up now? :D I don't have access to a lower to the ground trailer. Could a couple dudes muscle one of these in?

Over 500 lbs. if memory serves. You planning on' rebuilding? you could totally strip it down into pieces and load it like that.

Basically just take the drums off and axles out? Also, I'm getting this from a salvage yard and the guy said he is taking it out of a blazer. So since, I need to put it in a blazer as well, are there any parts I should be sure to get to ensure that the rear bolts right in?

Yes it can be done, I've done it with a burb. They weigh in around 500lbs.

I suggest you get a piece of plywood to put down in the floor of your burb because the axle will want to hang up or gouge everything. If you have the time or the seller will let you, pull the shafts and brakes off. Makes for a much more manageable struggle. You need 2 guys on the outside to lift it up and 1 guy inside the burb to pull it in as you lift.

Could try to get the rear drive shaft.

Go rent one of those $25 a day trailers, then get everything from the tcase back.

Well I "got r dun".. by renting a Uhaul trailer for a total of $28.70. Here she is after a pressure cleaning.... sanding and painting tomorrow along with getting those nasty drums off. I ended up getting the spring plates, but the previous owner had lift blocks so I'll need new u-bolts. I also got the driveshaft so I won't need the adapter. He threw in two junk wheels/tires as well to get it rolling around.
