Even with the 465/205 it crawls like crazy...i can't wait to try it with the dual T-cases while having OD for the highway. :cool1:

Sexy!!!

What's the deal with all that? What are all the parts? Specs? Do it yourself, or have someone do it for ya?

NV4500 with AA bellhousing, NWF dual T-case kit, rebuilt 203 range box. Still waiting for the triple stick set-up from NWF...it needed to be a bit different because of the NV4500.

A member here gave me the NV4500 as a basket case about 5 years ago. It had run critically low on gear lube, and the input bearing got red hot, ruined the countershaft and shreared off the input gear. I didn't have the money to fix it so it sat apart in boxes until november last year. The NV4500 I rebuilt all by my lonesome in my upstairs storage room. All new bearings and seals, most every synchro replaced, new countershaft, new input gear, new 5th gear nut and various little parts. Was a cool learning experience...

The 203 I bought rebuilt from NWF. The 205 I'm getting will also be completely done by NWF (almost paid for... ) Billet bearing retainers, 32 spline input, 32 spline front output, rails ground for twin stick and 1410 yokes front and rear.

I have 2 weeks booked off at the end of July, beginning of August and hope to have all the rest of the parts i need ready for then. I'm gonna install my Alcan springs at the same time, then see if I can get some drivelines built (hopefully I'll have the $$ for them by then)

Sorry for the hijack...:doah:

Looks like fun, I hate I missed it - I was right around the corner at TARussell's part of the day too. :doah:

Sorry John. You know you and Tom are welcome anytime. Ira is a great guy. We (Ira, Rob, Chris and myself) wrenched till about 11:00 Friday in the driveway. Too much beer a little pizza and wrong parts made things last. Saturday morning 8:00 headed out for a fun filled day of mud and broken JUNK.

No.... It was like that when we rolled up to it. I did simply explain to him we would get him to the road. But he had to hook to his truck. I told him attach to something that wouldn't come of.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that loves that 6.2 off road. It may not win races but it also will not quit pulling. With no disty, carb, throttle body or computer it'll take an absolute beating in the worst environment and still be happily chugging along.

Looks like you guys had a ton of fun even with the gremlins and stuff...

Rene

Yeah we all had a blast. It was different being a passenger most of the day. The 6.2 is really an impressive piece. I also have a vision.

K5 6.2 700/241 D60 14bolt stuffed with detroits and 4.56's with my 35's. Could be interesting and capable.

Had a good time, just wish my truck would run for more than 5 minutes at a time. Good time with good guys and breakin ****, what more fun can you have?
The water pump flange on Scott's K5 just fell off of the shaft, and busted the radiator as well.

Looks like a great day out. Good to do it with 'tow me outta here' friends too!!

Yea, I'm thinking I probably left out some details, but I was trying to get the highlights. It was a great time - and Ira is definitely a cool dude.:D

Thanks for the good words guys. Chris, Scott and Rob are all stand up guys and I would like to thank all of you guys for the great time I had and letting me "break" your junk. I would have loved to get mine out in there but cleaning with no inners would have sucked big time:doah: .
