Friday the 13th turned out to be a good day for me :D
I took the truck down to the tripple A office which has a DMV division. They gave me a temporary operating permit so I could get it weighed. Then i took the truck back to the office with the following things wrong with it

514 Cadillac engine in it!
NO smog equip what so ever
Mufflers hanging down almost touching the ground
tail lights held on by magnets
wires EVERYWHERE in the cab
the frame cut and patched about an inch from where the vin is... probably looked suspicious
no grill
no speedo at all, they asked me milage, i made up some BS 175,000
i'm sure there is more too

the guy was cool, he liked the truck from the get go :) he marked me down as passing all smog requirements and i got the truck registered today so now i can drive it legaly!
I'm not going to gorman this weekend though because the steering is funky, i think its in the steering box, i'm not sure though

well you got a whole day to figure it out:D

what, no video of you at the dmv???? youve taped everything else:D

Lucky is right! Lucky that he wasn't a picky guy who didn't like it. I would have thought that California would have been really strict about things like that. Glad you got it legal and almost ready to go! :D

I can imagine the DMV guy handing you the go ahead, and that old Jerry Reed song from Smokey and the Bandit starts playing...

East bound and down, loaded up and truckin'...
