improving handling in a lifted k5

im pretty sure all of them are still tight. ive never heard of loosening any major suspension bolts and i sure as hell aint about to try it lol

On my CUCV military K5 Blazer, I have a Superlift 6 inch lift. I am running 14/35-15 tires on 14 x 15 Alcoa wheels. I also have a steering arm on my axle with a stock drag link. The arm places the drag link in a perfect level position. I also have my stock sway bar attached. Finally, I have all new tie rod ends and drag link ends. Lastly, I have an inch and a half wheel spacer on the rear wheels to straighten out the way the steering geometry issues caused by a lift and offset wheels.

The result is, no wandering or body sway issues. I do have removable sway bar end links that I can disconnect when I go off roading.

My opinion is that lift kits and larger tires amplify issues within the steering and suspension systems. So one must ensure that the components are in tip top shape.

After building over ten K5 Blazers within a 30 year period, I have made lots of mistakes along the way and kind of know what works and what does not.
