Well, I wasn't in the market for another rig but when I saw this baby on Craigslist I had to go take a look at it. 84 K5, built 400sbc, 465, 14B, D44, 9" lift, 39s etc. The owner is a previous member of CK5 from years ago but says he hasn't been here lately. The floors are shot and he just wants to make the $ back from the wheels/tires so I got it for 1600$ :D The 400 only has 100 miles on it and can smoke the tires in 2nd. Now I have to decide what to do w/ my 72 project.... It might be headed back to Ebay I guess. Either way, this should be a fun rig to mess around with for awhile, especially for what I paid.

Keep the 72 though.

Ya, its a tough decision for me. I don't have alot of money to finish the 72 right now and its taking up space at my friends shop. That was going to have a built 400 too, along w/ a 6" lift and 35s. Decisions, decisions....:doah:

lol i just realized that the blazer you just bought looks pretty much like my 89 as it is in primer with the white top also and even has the moon visor. i have the chevy grill of course and custom bumpers. funny thing is ive searched for years for a decent 69-72 k5 and acctually had a deposit on one and the guy sold it out from under me! so i got mad and built the 89 i have now.

If the 84 has a rotted floor why not swap the drivetrain into the 72 and keep it, part out/junk the 84. (I have an 88 and sometimes wish I had held out for a 1st generation).

That was pretty much what I had thought about doing but the time it would take would be too much for me right now. Plus my friends shop is too busy for me to swapping parts around and using their lifts. If I had more time and $ I would do it but I'd rather have this one that drives and doesn't need much work, plus I won't mind beating this one and denting the sheetmetal :D
