Sorry but this is a truck im building for my nephew. With that said im tryin to find a 8" lift for a 1985 F350 4x4 Apperently no one makes lifts over 6" for them. that ive found. Options thoughts anything! On a limited budget too so i really dont wana have custom springs fabed up.
 
TTB, right? It's a looong time but I'm pretty sure Skyjacker used to offer a 9" kit. :thinking:
 
No, for a while in the 80's they went to the Dana 50 TTB entirely.

Wasn't there a shackle something-er-other (reversal...mount...something...?) for those trucks that gave like 2" of lift too?

F350's ran what they called "mono-axle". This was the solid front axle. F250's all ran the TTB.

6" is the highest lift I've seen for these older trucks, too. I'd just do either a 2" body lift or a 1" zero-rate and 1" body lift to top it off at 8".
 
Do your research again, for a while the F350's only had the D50 TTB. Couple years and then they went back.
 
Actually AJMBLAZER is right, from 80-85 Ford used the TTB D50 in both 250's & 350's. During these years there were no solid axle light duty Fords.

I remember a co-worker (he's older, so he was able to afford this truck back then) that had an '84 or '85 F350 and it had the mono-axle.
Other thing about this truck was that it had a diesel in it, too.
 
Check out SKY MFG; they make a front shackle reverse kit ( 3" or 5") that I think can be adapted, and use Super Duty front lift springs--get your 8" easily, and a decent ride.
For the rear, I'm pretty sure you can use Super Duty lift springs also
