In the beggining.....and now.

Note to self. DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM NEBRASKA!!!

Yeah, the rust here is pretty bad. That being said, these are pretty bad examples. I don't mind the rust, because I get them cheap and beat the hell out of them. It would make me feel bad beating up a nice one.

The K5 cost $100.
The V10 cost $1000.
The K30 cost $2,000 (pricey, but I wanted the Dana 60)

Being a bodyman in the rust belt, seeing some of the before & afters makes me cringe.

Well lets see my first two before and afters (as far as chevys go)

My very first blazer. I bought it went to the tire store put some 35s on it and cut all the rust out of the fenders. Gave more than enough room for the 35s to clear. It was bone stock with 35s
stockblazer.jpg

Couple years later a bunch of lift and a bunch of dents
blazeratblacks.jpg

The second one is this 87 dead bone stock

what it is now

I wish I had my dually done then I could post a pic of it too but its not done at all. Will have it done by mid summer, the Jimmy is going to get some stuff this summer too.

The day I bought it for $350 drove it 90 miles home :thumb:

Right before I tore it all apart and put everything in a K20.

Don't have any pics of the K20 yet. I will get some.

This was my first K5, a 78 that had 4 broken springs, a blown engine, and not one body panel that wasn't rusted:doah:

Here it is with a 6" lift, New crate engine, tons of new body panels,

And here is my current K5 as it was when I got it Just over 2 years ago

And here it is at BB 2009 with some cleanup and better rims and tires

And here it is at BB 2011 with 1 tons winch bumper and misc other stuff

They're never done, I'm adding TBI and rear bumper now:waytogo:

I'm likin the color scheme!!! :thumb::thumb::thumb:

When I first dragged it home in 2009. All stock on 31s and with the wrong grill. Didn't run and when I got it running (fuel pump) it didn't move (t-case). Paid $800 for it.

1st change, put the proper grill in it and remove the wet nasty moldy smelly carpet. Then went wheeling.

1st trail damage, at least from me. No biggie though, every panel on this truck already had some sort of dent in it when I got it.

Pic from end of summer 2010, with 33s and white waggy wheels still on stock suspension, plus a DIY4X front bumper and trimmed front fenders.

And let's not forget the 02 Silverado seats and Hurc'd floor.

i feel dumb as i have not put much effort in mine lately, but wtf? there is an ass load more to do. finnish the 14, swap the knuckles from the 44 onto the 10 bolt{until i get a 60} the last thing i did was do the brake swap from DIY4X.
