Anything I need to know about running 35's?

I need to find out the cheapest (yet good) tires I can find because i'm low on cash and I really want to go a little bigger than my 33's. It's for my DD k5, which I do a little offroading all the time, but nothing major.

Any help id would be greatful. :) Thanks

bfg m/t's get good mileage and r faily cheap n the 35x12.50x15 range...im lookin as well n the price dif between the a/t's n m/t's isnt that much n the mileage will b close to the same n a more aggressive tread...

Yeah, it's a must for gas mileage, cuz i'm 16 without a job. lol I'm trying to find one, but its getting kinda hard.

Also, any pics of rigs with 35's with a 4in lift?

35x10.5x15 Boggers on my 86 K10, 4" BDS lift springs front and rear. I have no rubbing, even twisted right up on the trails, and have not done any trimming on my fenders.

a decent "cheap" tire you may want to look at is the procomp m/t and a/t, decent price and mileage out of each. i believe that bfg is replacing the classic m/t's with the new km2's and they are more expensive. i think the super swamper trxus m/t's are priced resonable as well.

if you want a great tire that looks great and performs great, go with the Cooper Discover STT. I have the 35 and i love it. looks like the Mickey Thompson MTZ at a fraction of the price!

Wait and find someone that is wanting to go to an even bigger size and buy some good used tires.

I just checked ou the cooper st a/t vrs stt m/t - 80 bucks more fo rth emudders! hopefully i will be getting them SOON!!

w/ alignment abot 1250 out the door. i have coopers on my subaru and realy like them!

did you check prices on any other types of tires? i know when i bought my coopers you couldnt beat the price compared to a swamper or mickey thompson. of course they were on my DD, now that i have my K5 i would want a irok or something, but for you i think its your best route! a great tire!!

I run the goodyear silentarmors on mine. I believe it was like 160 a tire. I also have a 4 inch lift on the truck. So far they seem to be wearing well and are about the same as my cooper s/t I had before on the ice and snow. They are a little better on snow I think and they have a 60,000 mile treadwear warranty.

Here's my First Gen with 35's and 4" of lift. Not a second gen but I can tend to be a pic whore too. May be selling the tires and rims this spring and will PM you when I do to see if you still have a need. Go as big as you can afford and reasonably run on your drivetrain. IMO you can't doo better than the BFG AT's for price and performance. One thing I noticed is that you live in Arizona and you might be better off with an AT rather than an MT being that you may not run into much mud compared to sand, gravel and rocks. My AT's do great in the sand and rocks.

my stepside with a 4" lift and 2" body lift and tires still rub at full flex. The tires are Mickey Thompson Baja MTZs. A little expensive but they are perfect tires by my standards. Excelent in rain, snow and ice, they kick ass in mud, and are decent in the sand.

Those MTZ are good looking tires. A friend just put those on his CJ-7 and loves them.
