Been doing a lot of work on my 89 lately, working on getting it not only streetable but reasonably comfortable. Today I went through the electric and found out the dipsh!t previous owner wired the stereo up on the horn circuit and there is a short somewhere, as it's popping the horn fuse(but not the fuse on the head unit.. so that's a good thing I guess).

Been chasing vacuum leaks too.. he didn't hook up the lines right after replacing the heater core, I just capped the controls off for now till I can spend the time replacing and checking the diaphragms for leaks.

The truck however runs beautifully and it has a new tranny in it.. all of 2500 miles on it. Best $800 vehicle I've ever bought :haha:

When you figure out your wire problem you can come figure out why the previous owner of my truck cut out the original wires to ALL the lights and replaced them ALL with baby blue wire.

Try tracing that down........... By the way, on our trucks, a light power wire acts like a ground when the lights are off(grounds through the bulb filament). I have been trying to figure out the tailight short for a few years now.
