I have a 02 K2500 with an 8.1, the mpg when towing my parachute of a truck on the trailer is a bit hard on the mpgs. Of course if my brain could convince my foot that we don't need to run the speed limit plus that would help. Still with 26 gallons my range is limited. What do you guys do? I could plumb in a transfer tank but I am not sure how to do it on gravity so that it won't fill my charcoal filter with fuel. Some kind of solenoid? Ideas?

You could get a Titan to replace the factory one, I cant remember what they hold though. And they are pricy.

they list them as diesel tanks, wonder if there is a difference.

I'm in the exact same situation, 2002 extended cab, shortbed 2500HD 4x4 with the 8.1 and the Allison. I'm not towing, but do a fair bit of exploring and want more range. I already use the bed, so no bed tanks. I've seen the Titan tanks at SEMA and remembered them being more expensive than that. I'm thinking that's my solution. Has anyone got more feedback on them?
