I'm thinking about picking up a K5 when I sell my Tacoma, and I came across a clean K10 online. I was hoping to find out some info about it here, because the owner didn't know much.

It's an '86 K10 diesel, with an automatic transmission. What transmission would it have? Also, what were the popular gear ratios with the diesel blazers?

Thanks, I also have included the obligatory pics.

Its gorgeous . Has a 700r4 , more than likely 3.08 gears , but 3.42 , and 3.73 were available , so you'd have to look ( change gear oil anyway , bet ya its the original gear oil ) .

And a K5 IS A K10 , its K5 on the emblems , its K10 on paper at DMV and GM since its 1/2 ton .

God I want that interior in mine soooooo badly

Did I see that one on the Nashville Craigslist???

Love the interior.

Ya' gotta ditch the running boards, though..... I think I still have a set of those things in the attic of my shop. Figured if I ever needed to cut some aluminum chunks for anything, I'd keep 'em around.

Not much rust here in Nashvegas. Looks like it was owned by an old man, so I'm sure it's probably in as good of shape as the pictures make it llok

Nice!

Ditch the runnings boards, 4" lift and some 35's on black steelies and you've got a badass rig.

So I was talking to the fiancée, and she was less than thrilled with my idea.

I mean, I'm selling a $12,000 Tacoma to buy a something that costs a third of what the Tacoma did.

To me that sounds financially responsible, to her that sounds like such a bad idea that I don't deserve sex again. Ever.
