OK I got a 86 burb 4x4 heavy half six lug :doah:Yeah I know. Just a stock truck. When the truck is in reverse and you give it gas she slips in and out, backed up against a curb you can fell it start to power up over the curb then splips out and as you gradually let off the gas can feel it hook back up. The question is would you rebuild the stock trany and t case or what would you suggest for a swap. I plan on tearin the motor down and putting a decent 4x4 cam in along with other performance parts. Also need a good lft kit any suggestions? Thans for any input this site kicks ass.

great sugestion not to be rude ( search button ) tons and tons on lift kits and other stuff. almost everymonth there is this question. there is a thread in the garage at the top as a sticky and its xx amount of lift and xx size tires. might give you a good idea what you want.

most of the chatting is in the garage section for major wrenchin stuff. try there.

and simple question. have you checked the fluid level ?

and what color is the fluid ?

and does the fluid make you wana barf when you smell it cause it dosnt smell like atf anymore ?

it sounds like low fluid or prob a burnt tranny. if tranny you can have done local if you have a good builder in your area. or just get a reman from some popular builders like bowtie overdrives.

tuff country lift kits are popular and comon here for great ride on the street and offroad. dont get them mixed with rough country cheeper and a lot stiffer.

check those few things and get back to us.

and welcom to the site :thumb:
