Does anyone have any experience with the Fluke 62 Mini Infrared Thermometer?

I'm looking to buy one soon and i know Fluke is a big name that's been around a long time. Lets hear what you guys have to say about this model or other brands.

Raytek rules that field.. They are the originator of the tool.. I've had mine for about 7 yrs now.. works flawless, and it does get beat up here and there...

I'm sure the fluke is a nice unit, heck, Raytek is probably making them for em...

Don't know the namebrand we were playing with but don't shoot it at welds.

raytec.

few good things i have done with mine. ....

found the problem cyl on a toyota v6 everyone couldnt find. fired cold and found #1 not coming up to temp. found injector plug 1/2 off. cliped back and perfect to this day.

found a bad carb on bbc . started cold and had skiping idle. checked all 8 cyl at haed to exaust. found 2 centers and 2 outers on each half of motor were way below the others for temp. wich on duel plane manifold carbed 1 half of carb is way off.

questioning sticky brake caliper? test drive it up to working temp. come to stop and check both left / right. find the hotter one. he is prob it.

check tsats all the time in car to see if thay are opening with in range. or for pluged heater cores .

if you can think it. it will prob work with it.

I have a Raytek MT6 , I use it very nearly every day at work. For checking hydraulic circuits, gearboxes, pump drives, hydraulic pumps motors and the like.

Raytek is owned by Fluke though..........so it doesn't really matter.
