I have been planning to buy a 1997 SUBURBAN Diesel here in the Philippines but been advised by alot not to. They say the Injection pump always KONKS OUT due too bad/unclean diesel fuel here.
Is the Injection pump of the SUB that sensitive? I have a MBZ Diesel for 15 years w/ a BOSCH pump and it seems to be doing OK.
They also say that the Injection pump of the SUB DIESEL in most cases cannot be repaired and you have to buy a whole assembly. This could cost up to $1,500.00 they say.
Any tips and advise would help.
