Try to get this truck road ready again. Has a fuel leak running off the back of the motor down transmission. thought it was the injection pump at first. Closer look it's one of the injection lines down low. I used what tools I have. not able to get even close to it. took off the intake. tightened it down some. still leaking. cranking down on this should be ok? dont want to hurt the injection pump. i have other lines i can take off some other part motors if i need too. thanks for the help. had a lot of 6.2 trucks. never had this happen

I would take it apart first and inspect to see why it was leaking. As long as you don't find any obvious problems, then put it back together and tighten it up. You run the risk of making things worse if there is something going on in there.

thanks. going to pull is apart. what fuel psi should i get? my gauge is saying 6 psi? thanks

Those lines at the IP are a b13ch. I've had some success tightening the bottom ones after the top are attached using a set of crowfoots that I'd shaved down with a grinder.

If it's still leaking kenny was right need to pull and inspect closer. I can't remember what the PSI is on the injector side but it's high enough that you can end up with little hairline cracks in the lines that you can't see until the fuel pressures up.

Trying to diagnose my own in the same area atm, 45 sec crank to get the damn thing to get fuel into the cylinders. I'm assuming I have the same problem; only started since I had it apart to do the heads.

On the fuel pump (IP intake side) you're ok. IIRC they're supposed to run 6-8 PSI.

lines looked fine. ran it with the intake off to check. no leaks. so i put it all back together.
