Ok, I'm finally getting into replacing the floors on the Jimmy. I have the floor pans and outer rockers, and just ordered the inners. There is a LOT of rust, but it is limited to the floors in the driver's and passenger's tub.

The noobish question is: How exactly does the inner panel go in (location and orientation)? I have NO point of reference on the jimmy, as it is all rotted away.

Also, is the pan below that removable? I am going to do something to the under side of the floors when I am done with the metalwork (rust bullet, bedliner, or something else) What do you guys recommend?

Also, what t-cases do I have here? I know next to nothing about them, except the first one is full-time, and the second is part-time 4wd. I am hoping for a 203 and 205, as I may do a doubler if that is the case.

def a 203 t/c...which if you have the trans you want, that is the start of the doubler as you need the mating 203 for the trans you want to run, and then you'll only use the range box case of the 203, then add the 205/doubler kit.

Ok, so the 1st 2 pics from my earlier post are of a np203, are these of a 205?

This is the rear of a 205 w/ bolt on yoke output shaft, as opposed to a slip yoke type output. Notice the idler shaft cover in the middle (orange)

This is a 203, upsidedown, but notice no idler shaft cover....

got the old outer rockers off this morning, is this how the new ones go in? I am still a bit stumped on placement. I think this is pretty close, just need some guidance. These things have very little resemblance to what I have, or are they just too rusted to tell?

thanks again

I straightened the rear corner and bent the top 90 degrees to match the front. I think those inners (same ones I got) are for a truck. I welded the ends to the floor supports.

Did you unbolt the top door hinge? I have new ones from GM to put in. Is the top hinge inner bolt hard to get at?

No, I haven't removed the top hinge from the body, but I did unbolt the door side of the top hinge to remove the door. It looks like an easy job from there...
