Working on the process of moving the carrier bearing back and I was questioning my methodology. My original thought was to get the new carrier bearing mount made and measure from there for the driveshaft to be built. But then I got to wondering if it would be better if I took the measurements for where I want the carrier bearing to be, have the driveshaft made, and then make the carrier bearing mount so that I know exactly where it will be.
Just thinking maybe the second option might avoid the possibility of having to make the carrier bearing mount a second time if something gets off in my measurements or the driveshaft manufacturing.
Thoughts?
