Inspirational Photos..... SANDBLASTING begins on the frame!!!

Idiot... Definitely not. A little nuts... of course.. we all are.

Being a fellow engineer I understand the perfectionist thing but I still counld see sand blasting my frame that I will intentionally put into mud pit, scrap on rocks etc.

Will this truck see this type of abuse when it's completed?
It will be a incredible truck when finished and I personally would have a hard time trashing it. That's why I don't have a nice and pretty truck.

Keep up the great work!!!
Mike

Mike,

I intend to have a lot of fun with this truck, but the reality is that it will probably be driven on the street more than it will offroad.....that's just a fact of life here in San Jose.

But that doesn't mean that when I DO go offroad that I won't want to challenge myself and have a capable truck. I already got a taste of what being "unprepared" feels like at last years BlazerFest. My truck looked cool, but couldn't climb the simplest hills.......that was embarrassing, and a real eye-opener about what "looks" good and what actually "works".

Having said all that, now my job is twice as hard.....it has to look good and it has to be good offroad!

Sweet another person like me!!! I am the same way I did a YJ S/R spring swap on the front of my samurai, when it was all said and done I re-measured the shackle mounts.... What do you know I burned them in *almost the same* it turns out they where 1/8" off....................Cut time.

Greg-

That is some dedication you have there... and I thought I was crazy into working on my truck... you have proved to me that I am not as crazy as my [wife] thinks! /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Great work! But seriously, I think you might have too much time on your hands??? /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
