Installed Aux. Gas Tank

I know this isn't GM related but I just helped a friend design and install a Prado gas tank in an 07 FJ cruiser. It is the first one in the US. It has been done in other countries. He had to get the tank and all the parts from Japan. The aux. tank is 19 gal. and pumps into the main tank with a switch on the dash. He owns a company called Expeditioneers. I might do the install for other people but how do I cover my self if anything happens to the tank, like during hard off roading. I need some kind of disclaimer for them to sign. I'm not a business just a 4 wheeler.

Sorry, IANAL so I really cant answer your question regarding your liability concerns but I am interested in the setup. Can you expand on how this tank is set up? do you have a link that might describe the pluming and electrical setup?

It's the fjcruiserforums.com and search for research; toyota prado aux fuel sub tank. There isn't any prints yet cause we just finished it. JP is the guy who owns the FJ that the tank got installed in. He got the tank from japan and we tried to use genuine toyota parts. Just like us GM guys try to stick with GM parts. His company is Expeditioneers.com He is going to order the tanks and sending units and filler necks. Then we write up how to do it yourself, and may supply all the hardware needed to install the tank. The aux. fuel pump is a readilly available aftermarket one. It is external and will pump fuel from aux. tank to the main tank. You have to move the charcoal canister towards the front of the vehicle about 9 inches to make room for the prado tank. So the prado tank can be mounted right under the floor to give you 17 in. of ground clearance. You have to mount an aux. fuel gage. Everything will be posted even if you don't buy the kit. Just so you know the tank is not yet available here in the US.
