installed my lift I NEED HELP

I just finished installing my rear lift and have a few questions. The main question I have is about the emergency brake cable. Is it supposed to be run under the leaf spring or above it. I have it ran under the the spring now and it seems tight. I think it is supposed to be run over the top. Thanks for the help.

Run it over the top, for one thing if nothing else, it won't get caught on anything when you drive over it.
