I put in a pair of LMC wheel wells today. My truck has a 4 inch lift, so the clearance made it relatively easy (just a lot of bolts). They actually fit pretty well, all holes lined up. Unfortunately, iI did not paint or otherwise treat the wheel wells, my question is...should I at least paint the inner portions, or treat with bed liner coating? ... or are these fine to keep untreated. Not sure if LMC use anything special on them from the factory.

They use a cheap e coat paint on them just so they don't rust during storah\ge and shipping. If you don't paint them with something good they will rust in no time.

Yep, just some cheapo paint to keep from rusting during storage/shipping. The stuff is really thin and scratches easily, too. You'll definitely need paint or liner.

I just sprayed some wheelwells with Al's Liner for a 68 Camaro, did both sides and they came out pretty freaking cool. :D

I dropped mine off at LineX. They did them both for $75. Kinda pricey relative to doing it yourself with a kit, but I believe the quality is worth the price difference. If you drive on the road much, I've noticed a difference in the road noise transmitted thru the panels after coated.

Treated with Bedliner coating

I first sprayed them with a primer then treated with dupli-color black bedliner coating.
