So i will be swapping out my 465 for a th350/205 set-up. I plan on installing a stage2 shift kit, but what else? This is my dd and I am running 8" lift, 3/4ton 4.56 gears and in a couple months some 38" tires. I never beat on the truck and it will probably never see towing or offroad. Will just the radiator cooler work or should i seek something else? what are some other upgrades I can do for prevenative maintenance? I hvae a stock 350 with a rv cam so no high horsepower in front of it.

I run a B and M super cooler on my truck, completely bypassing the rad "cooler" and trans temp has always been good. Its good insurance to use a heavy duty atf cooler.

So i have never really dealt with automatic transmissions, how hard is a shift kit to install? If i do it it will be on a workbench. any tips?

Also i will clean up the case good to paint the tranny gray. do I need a high heat of some sort?
