I have fabbed up my truss for my rear end, I have minor issues to address still,(like the vent line, how I will install and route the brake lines, etc) but the majority of it is done. Next is the fusion of metal, the easy stuff, yea. I have found out that the case is a Nodular Cast Iron, so has anybody used 308l stainless filler rod on this material, or have you just stuck with fm-99? I have use the 308l many times in the past to repair cast exhaust manifolds for detroits, just wondering if I need to get a few boxes of material or if I can use what I have on hand? I will use a Miller 330A/B with foot pedal and water cooled torch.

Ive heard of 309 being used with good results. i think the 308 is better suited for SS to SS

But most use a high nickle 99 for good reason. Preheat and postheat are also very much reccomended
