Got it started today. Today being 12:01 am. I work nights so my hours are a bit nocturnal! What a difference a new set of properly adjusted and functioning lifters makes. engine runs smoother, responds quicker, and the mystery misfire from the right side of the engine is gone! Thanks again for everyones help!

Yeah, I'm siding with Scott on this one. We've exchanged quite a few emails about the 'vette TPI stuff I have and he is very, very knowledgable on motors.
Just wonder if Goldwing/member/finger would direct me towards some wood slugs carved from a tree branch to use for pistons? (for those who don't know, the late Granville King tried this on one bad piston while stuck in the desert......read about this in Four Wheeler mags 'Tales from the Backcountry' by GK before his passing)
