Installing transmission temperature gauge

I just bought an AutoMeter transmission temperature gauge for my 92 Yukon. It is a 350/700R4 truck. How do I install this thing? Someone told me that I need to fabricate a box to go inline with the cooling tubes, but another person told me that there is a place I can plug the sensor in the side of the tranny. Does anybody know the easiest way to do it? Thanks!
