Installling distributor on 91 chevy?

Removed intake on my 91 burb and marked distributor but when I cleaned it up forgot about mark and it came off. Was wondering if you guess can give som info. on how to get it back correctly its been a while since ive done this. I put it on tdc on #1 cylinder and point rotor to #1 or is it different.Thanks

Bring cylinder #1 to TDC, now drop the distributor in and make the rotor point to about the 4 O-clock position and put your number 1 wire there and then run the firing order in a clockwise rotation. You may have to turn the oil pump intermediate shaft with a long screwdriver so the distributor will drop where it needs to.

Compression stroke. Anytime anyone refers to TDC it is ALWAYS the compression stroke they're talking about.
