Need an instrument cluster in good shape to rob some bits from for my cluster. I don't care if yours is a tach cluster (prefer not in fact, because I don't want to pay the premium for it) or has a clock. Just looking for a gauge (not idiot light) cluster in good condition shipped to 77345.

What year is your rig? The print is different between 70's and 80's.

I have a complete cluster out of an '83 K30.

I swapped a tach into my 87, have a bunch of peices left over. Circuit boards, gauges, clear covers, but the clusters themselves have broken tabs....

Sorry, my junk is a 1983.

Here is what I need specifically, but I'm fine with just buying a cluster instead of putting anyone to the trouble to dissect -

In the shots above, you can see I am missing 1 of the 3 metal clips for the factory battery gauge. These clips are how the gauge gets the signal from the printed circuit board on the back of the cluster.

Sorry i can't help you but the least you could do is cover up that Ford insignia when asking for Chevy parts. :doah:

LOL - the plot is even more twisted. The Ford sticker is on a Suzuki Samurai hood. Don't ask me why - it was a used replacement hood on my first project.

IIRC you don't need that clip. I redid my gauges, and thought one was supposed to go there. I have 4 clusters, and none of them had the clip there. But if you need a clip, I have more than a handful here...

Great! Also, thanks for your helpful answer - looking at the cutout in the plastic and the stud on the back of the gauge, I assumed one was missing. . . :wink1:

I thought I was too, then I got looking at it little closer. The circuit board runs thru both pins for the gauge. Might be for an amp gauge??
