Where the Army tells me to!
I just bought a new to me instument panel at the swap meet (I had to get it, only 10 bucks and mine is broken) only problem is the one I bought has wood grain looking laminate and my truck has the brushed aluminum looking trim. Does any one know if and how I could do a trim swap without screwing it all up?

Which way do you want to go? Wood grain or brushed AL?

Unless they changed how they made those things, I think you are stuck with the woodgrain. I removed the brushed AL from one of my gauge bezels, but it is super flimsy (mine was actual aluminum) and creased all over the place when I pulled it. You can't just pull it off and leave it off, as they are glued directly to the base textured piece, which means there is glue in the crevices and it looks terrible.

Maybe you can trade someone here.

I would like to put the AL trim on the base that now has the woodgrain look a like stuff on it because mine with the AL is broken, anyone on here have an aluminum trim panel to sell or trade? or is there a way that I could heat it up and remove the AL trim without damage?
