Im on the phone with my insurance company trying to decide what coverage to get and it has me thinking. I can insure the truck as an RV because of the FWC, should I? Should I register it as an RV as well? Why or why not?
Depends on the state you are insuring
some areas have different coverage requirements, as well as limitations
For example I live in NV and have disabled veteran plates my on my k20
In Cal I cannot have the same plates due to the gvw, it exceeds rhe weight limit.
I know it's not relevant but just to give and example of what 2 states consider
I would insure as a RV, if you are getting comprehensive coverage.
If only public liability then it shouldn't matter much.
Whichever ever is the best bargain.
Sorry I'm no help.
I just have mine included in my broad form policy. I always figured after I did the body work and paint I would try to get some type of full coverage/specialty insurance.
