what intake bolt pattern do you use for 95 tbi small block heads? the previous owner switch my 73 motor to heads off a 1995 z71 with a 350. did the tbi use the same intake pattern that is required when using vortec heads or will a off the shelf carburated intake work wit the tbi heads?

No it went pre 87, 87-95, and vortec.

All three are different patterns but the pre 87 and 87-95 stuff will work by opening the center holes up a little bit.

Vortec is a totally different beast. They have 8 bolts that clamp straight down towards the ground rather than angled into the head. They also have different shaped ports. Dont let anyone ever tell you vortec heads can be drilled for standard manifolds or any sort of shade tree bull**** like that to get them to work.
